SCLJ Features

SCLJ is an interactive, text-based client supporting posting of entries. Based on LWP, it requires Perl 5.005 or better.

SCLJ 2.x supports posting of entries, with support for the following options:

• Moods and mood icons
• Subject
• Music (no autodetection yet)
• Security: public, friends-only, custom, and private
• Moods, with and without mood icons
• Community journals
• Picture keywords (multiple userpics)
• Disabling of comments and comment emails
• Auto-formatting
• Backdating

SCLJ 3.x additionally supports:

• Multiple accounts and servers
• Saving and opening posts
• Autocompletion of practically everything, including moods, accounts, and journals
• rc-less mode, allowing posts to be opened, edited, saved, and posted from anywhere with Perl and LWP installed
• Autodetection of music from XMMS with the Xmms module and "music detect"

SCLJ does not support:

• I18N, UTF-8, and other locale-sensitive issues
• Non-UNIX platforms such as Macintosh (untested on OS X) or Windows
